Before joining the New Believers Course, I was a Christian who only attended church out of obligation to my parents. I could tell good from bad, but not right from wrong, and my relationship with God was undefined. During my university years, life’s challenges led me into fornication, masturbation, and alcohol, and my spiritual life became weak and prayerless. Though I sensed I had a purpose, I had no clarity or direction on how to walk in it.

During the course, God began to deal with my life deeply. In our second week, while Apostle taught on prayer, darkness, and the heavenly realms, I experienced intense heat in my body as the Holy Spirit led me to pray for a sister. During our first night vigil, I spoke in tongues for the first time and was instructed by the Spirit to deliver a message, which I obeyed.

Through the NBC prayer and worship sessions, my old lifestyle was crucified. The urges for fornication and masturbation left completely, and fear, anger, shyness, and a prayerless life lost their grip on me. I discovered that I carry a gift in God’s kingdom and learned to obey the Spirit’s instructions without fear.

After the course, my prayer life was transformed. I now pray and fast twice a week—something I struggled with for years. God has also ordered my steps practically, opening doors for employment and confirming that He is a God of direction and timing. Today, I walk in obedience, confidence, and spiritual discipline, trusting that every outcome will align with His will.
