From church activity to true relationship with God
My name is Olorundare Yetunde Morenikeji, with Reg. No. NBC/2024/0925. Before NBC, I was a typical church girl—committed to church activities and even serving in leadership positions. During my university days, I was elected as the female head of the Joint Christian Fellowship. Despite all this, I knew something was missing.
It wasn’t that I was wayward, but I could feel the gap between me and God. I didn’t have a personal relationship with Him, and I struggled with my spiritual life. I didn’t know how to pray properly, let alone lead others in prayer. I’d often tell myself, “You can do better,” but I stayed stuck in the same place. I even found it hard to read my Bible—I didn’t own a physical one, only the one on my phone, and even that felt like a challenge. I constantly prayed for God to draw me closer and teach me His ways.
What motivated me to join NBC was the opportunity to know God more. When I heard about the program’s online platform, I was excited because I couldn’t attend physical classes. The Bible summary sessions also thrilled me—I saw them as a chance to reconnect with the Bible and make it a part of my life again.
Now, I can say that being able to read my Bible daily is a big win and testimony for me. It might sound small or easy to others, but for me, it’s a breakthrough. I’ve tried and failed so many times before, but through NBC, I’ve found consistency and joy in studying the Word.
Glory to Jesus for this transformation—it’s more than I could have a
sked for.
