 A Journey to True Transformation
My name is Abikwu Iscolar Ojone, Reg. No. NBC/2024/0813. I attended NBC onsite in Kano. I first heard about NBC from my brother and later from friends in church.
Before NBC, I lived a “normal” Christian life—going to church and attending activities without much depth. My brother Emmanuel, despite being my junior, often invited me to Convergence, but I always made excuses. He persisted, though, and when the link for Set 8 came out, he sent it to us. Out of curiosity about what he was always talking about, I decided to apply.
NBC has been a completely different and transformative experience for me. Through the teachings and audio messages, I’ve come to understand that living a Christian life goes beyond attending church.
I now know that Christ has taken my old life, nailed it to the Cross, and given me a new one. As I pursue Christ and draw closer to Him, everything I need in life will align with His purpose for me. I’ve realized that Christ lives in me and is responsible for every aspect of my life, so I carry Him into my daily activities.
One of my biggest testimonies is overcoming my struggles with Bible study. Before NBC, I often promised myself I’d read the Bible but never followed through. However, through the Apostle’s teachings, I learned that I could indeed make it a consistent part of my life.
Another area of transformation is my anger. Previously, when angry, I would speak until I felt satisfied, or I would be restless. Revenge was also an issue—I wouldn’t react immediately but would plan to retaliate later. After the New Creation Man class, everything changed. I remember an incident at the market when someone upset me. I began reacting but suddenly realized I shouldn’t behave that way. For the first time, I controlled my temper. It was something I couldn’t have done before.
NBC has been eye-opening for me. Every class taught me something new or revealed how little I truly knew. Mr. Flesh had influenced my life in many negative ways, but with the understanding I’ve gained, Christ has been helping me overcome anger, revenge, and lack of submission. I pray for the grace to keep standing firm in Him.
I would wholeheartedly recommend NBC to others. Every class brings fresh insights, and I want others to experience this transformative journey.
